Drive south on Sanders Ferry Road in Hendersonville, Tennessee about 5 miles and you’ll find the entrance to Sanders Ferry Park. The drive through the park is one-way, so loop around the park until you’re almost back to the entrance. On your right is a short drive down to the fishing pier. Standing at the pier looking out over the lake there are two small coves, one to your left and one to your right. Along the water’s edge of the cove to the right is a small trail worn by animals coming to the lake for water and the local disc golfers. About half way around this trail are a couple of great locations for sunrise photos.
This particular image I shot with my camera almost on the ground, mounted on Joby Gorillapod. A misty fog soon formed over the cove giving inspiration to my name for this print. Keeping a careful lookout for snakes and other critters, I settled in with my cup of coffee and waited for the sun. I think you’ll agree it was worth the wait.
